The Executive Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) Mr. Nishchal Nath Pandey visited the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Feb. 20th and held discussions with the Director General Dr. Fauziah Mohamad Taib on ways to establish cooperative relations between the two Institutes. The two Directors exchanged the plaques and publications of their respective Institutes on the occasion.

On the same occasion, Pandey was briefed on the training, publication and research activities of the Malysian Institute. One diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal has been receiving scholarship to participate in training workshop at the Malaysian Institute each year. Hari Kumar Shrestha, charge d' affairs a.i. at the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and Jamaiyah M. Yusof, Director of the Training of the Malaysian Institute were also present on the occasion.
