A talk program on "Nepal-Russia Relations" was organized by Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) on Feb. 14th 2006 (Tuesday) at Hotel Shangri-La, Lazimpat, on the theme to commemorate the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between the Kingdom of Nepal and the Russian Federation. The chief guest for the program was Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ramesh N. Pandey. He lunched the book "Nepal as a Transit State: Emerging Possibilities" which is published by Institute of Foreign Affairs. Moreover, he added that relations between the Kingdom of Nepal and the Russian Federation will be further expanded in the days ahead and believed that Russian Federation will work in the benefit of small countries like Nepal. The Russian Ambassador, High officials of HMG/Nepal, journalists, and outstanding scholars from diverse fields deliberated extensively on the theme. Nishchal N. Pandey, executive director of IFA, welcoming the participants highlighted the objectives and explained the importance of talk program.
