IFA Organizes Seminar on "Future of South Asia: A New Generational Perspective"

IFA in collaboration with the FES organized a one-day seminar on "Future of South Asia: A New Generational Perspective" at the Yak and Yeti Hotel on Nov. 7th 2003. H.E Ambassador at Large Dr. Bhekh Bahadur Thapa inaugurated the seminar. SAARC Secretary General Q.A.M.A Rahim also spoke on the inauguration session. A large numbe rof dignitaries including the Foreign Secretary Madhu Raman Acharya, high officials of the MoFA and other HMG/N ministries along with Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh attended the seminar.

There were four papers presented during the seminar by well known personalities of the young generation: Ratnakar Adhikari, Nishchal Nath Pandey, Rajendra Kumar Khetan and Paras Ghimire. Mr. MR Josse, Prof. Guna Nidhi Sharma, Mr. Madhukar SJB Rana and Prof. Bishwo Pradhan commented on the four papers.

A publication of the seminar will be brought out shortly by the IFA.
